EM/2022/40

Reminder: Online dialogue meetings on the nomination of experts and fellows for the business and biodiversity assessment

Dear IPBES members, observers and other interested stakeholders,

With reference to notification EM/2022/35 (9 September 2022), I would like to remind you of the invitation to participate in the dialogue meeting with Governments and stakeholders on the nomination of experts and fellows for the business and biodiversity assessment on respectively 4 October 2022 and 6 October 2022.

The dialogue meetings aim to facilitate and strengthen engagement by Governments and stakeholders in the nomination of experts and fellows for the business and biodiversity assessment. This will be done through sessions aimed at informing governments' representatives and stakeholders on the nomination process and expertise relevant to the assessment, and sessions aimed at sharing experience on national nomination processes and lessons learnt by experts and fellows taking part in previous and/or ongoing assessments.

Stakeholders, including representatives of businesses, networks and communities working on the interlinkages between business and biodiversity may choose to attend one of the following sessions:

  • Thursday 6 October: 09:00-11:00 CEST
  • Thursday 6 October: 16:00-18:00 CEST

You can register for the dialogue meeting with stakeholders at this LINK.

National focal points have received separately information on how to joint the sessions for Governments on 4 October 2022.

For any questions concerning the meetings, please contact the technical support unit on capacity-building at tsu.capacitybuilding@ipbes.net.

I thank you for your continued support to IPBES.
Yours sincerely,

Dr Anne Larigauderie | Executive Secretary
