Walk & Roll to School Day - October 7
Students are encouraged to walk, bike or roll to school to get moving and help the earth. Students can leave bikes, helmets and scooters in the bike locker behind the outdoor lunch area (accessible from both Grosse and Bryden entrances). For those coming from near Franklin Park/ North St, a “bike train” is planned with parent escorts to assist students in safely riding to school.  Click here for more information.
Garden Work Day - October 9

The Food and Habitat Gardens have been buzzing the last few weeks! At our September garden day, volunteer parents and students worked to open the garden for the school year, fed the worm bins, cleared weeds and invasive puncture vine, harvested, planted fall veggies and welcomed many new families to the Proctor Terrace community. Primary classes enjoyed the space over the last few weeks and we look forward to having our PTA-Funded Garden Coordinator begin working hands on with students mid-October.

Garden days are hosted once a month and all are welcome. On Sunday, October 9th volunteers are needed to assemble the PTA purchased Greenhouse, build trellises for Butterfly Habitat vines and keep our garden growing so students enjoy the space. Click here for more information.

Be a Volunteer!

Are you considering being a on-campus volunteer this year? Even if you were a volunteer last year, there are new steps you need to take.

The volunteer program at Santa Rosa City Schools is designed to encourage volunteer participation, while ensuring that steps are taken to protect the safety and interests of our students. Therefore, all prospective Volunteers must undergo a background clearance. To learn more about becoming a volunteer, CLICK HERE.

Be A Mentor, Inc., Santa Rosa City Schools’ partner, will assist you with the background clearance process and are available for help if you need it. Sign up NOW so you are ready to volunteer in the new school year.

All volunteers (including those who were previously processed last year), will need to be signed up through Be a Mentor.

Your involvement on our campus shows our students that you care and that you want to help them succeed and be the best they can be.
