Early October is peak fall foliage time in Sandpoint, Idaho. Scarywood is Back!
Silverwood Theme Park transforms into Scarywood for the month of October
Take your thrills and chills up a notch...or 10. Each spooky season, Silverwood Theme Park becomes a hauntedly creepy, crawly, jump-scare central! Experience 5 haunted attractions, including our newest haunt Chuckle's 3D Sideshow, 9 scare zones, and most of Silverwood's signature rides in the dark.
Scarywood is taking over the Silverwood Theme Park from September 29 - October 29. Tickets are limited and are available online only.

Harvest Festival
Head on over to Hickey Farms for their signature event of the year
If you're craving all of the traditional autumn fun and treats, you won't want to miss the Hickey Farms Harvest Festival! Hot chocolate, crisp leaves, pumpkin carving, hay rides, a corn maze, live music, magic, and more await you each weekend in October at Hickey Farms. There is food and fun fit for all ages!
The Harvest Festival will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5:30pm and every Wednesday and Friday from 2pm to 5:30pm.

Crosstoberfest: Cyclocross Race and Beerfest
Presented by Pend Oreille Pedalers, Hickey Farms, and Syringa Cyclery
Sandpoint’s beloved Crosstoberfest is BACK for 2022, with Syringa Cyclery and Pend Oreille Pedalers once again partnering with Hickey Farms to provide a day of fun and competition for riders ages 5 and up!
The 360-acre Hickey Farm provides the perfect venue for cyclocross. But don’t worry; if you don’t have a CX bike you can still participate in this fun day of races! There are categories for several cycling disciplines, and any bike can be ridden in any category: mountain bikes, single speeds, and even fat bikers are welcome to participate! Races begin at 9:30am on Saturday, October 29. The fun day will end with an awards ceremony and celebration.

Misery at the Panida
A Cade Prophet Memorial Production Benefitting the BTAA
Enjoying this show at the Panida Theater will be far from miserable. Misery, a play written by William Goldman based on the short novel by Stephen King, is a surefire hit and the perfect addition to Halloween weekend festivities.
Misery will be performed on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 at 7pm, Sunday, October 30 at 3pm, and a special Halloween night performance at 6pm. All proceeds of this Cade Prophet Memorial Production go towards the Better Together Animal Alliance.

Halloween Party and Costume Contest
Family-friendly Halloween fun at the Bonner County Fairgrounds
 Looking for family-friendly Halloween fun? Head on over to the Bonner County Fairgrounds for a free kid's Halloween party! Activities will include a Halloween-themed movie, costume contest, candy, games, and more.
Fun starts at 5:30pm on Friday, October 28 in the Main Exhibit Building. Prizes will be handed out to the Most Creative, Best Handmade, Funniest, and Scariest costumes!

Baroque Magic
The North Idaho Philharmonia in Concert
On Friday, October 7, you have a rare chance to experience all six movements of the Brandenburg Concerto, presented in one magical night by the North Idaho Philharmonia.
This fall Jan Pellant, artistic director and conductor, returns for a second year to kick off the 2022-2023 performance series, with a not to be missed musical spectacle.
Friday evening begins with a pre-concert talk at 7:00 p.m., followed by Baroque Magic at 7:30 p.m., where all six of the Brandenburg Concertos by Bach will be presented on this one-of-a-kind evening.
