Pastor' Appreciation Month
October is Pastor's Appreciation Month...

The past two and a half years have been an incredibly challenging and uncertain time in the life of our church. Many extra responsibilities and unknowns have been encountered by our church staff. Please take your time this month to share your thanks for all our pastoral staff has done to oversee our return to in-person worship, rebuilding of church ministries and programming, and more!

Cards and notes of appreciation are encouraged. They may be sent to the church address:
3901 Lomaland Drive
San Diego, CA 92106

Or directly to our pastors' email addresses:
Thank you for your participation!

Sincerely,
Your Church Board
Chili Cook-Off & Pie/Cake Auction!
Mark your calendars for the return of our annual Chili Cook-Off & Pie/Cake Auction, happening after church on Sunday, October 16th in the Family Life Center!

Right after our worship service, we'll head over to the FLC to enjoy lunch, taste chilis, and bid on homemade pies & cakes baked by members of our church community, all with the goal to raise money for our Kids & Teens Camp Scholarship Fund!

It's the most fun — and delicious — fundraiser of the year!
More details to come, but if you'd like to sign-up now to enter a chili into the cook-off, or a pie/cake into the auction (or, both!), then click the button below to fill out our brief Chili & Pie Entry Form:
Chili & Pie Entry Form
We also have numerous volunteer roles that need to be filled in order to help this event run smoothly, including help with set-up the day before (Oct. 15). If you'd like to help out, please contact tyler@sdfcnaz.com

In Our Prayers...
  • Becky Havens: Becky's dear friend, Kim Hogelucht, business professor at PLNU, lost her husband, Terry, this past weeks. He gave and received the love of Christ to his family and friends as he fought an aggressive brain tumor that took his life after only three weeks. He felt the prayers of many, including this church. Thank you for continued prayers for his family.

  • Diana Perea: Diana has asked for prayers on behalf of her elderly uncle, Bernardo, and his family.

  • Victor Labenske: Prayers for the Holstead family. Kian and Shari were members here for a number of years. Kian passed away last week after a long illness.

  • Rianna Nowlin: Someone from back home (Jackson) is having a stem cell procedure this Thursday. Please pray for it to go well and for it to heal him.
If you have a prayer request you would like to share with the church staff or the SDFC community, please contact the church office: church@sdfcnaz.com / (619) 849-3100
