The goal of our Church School is to forming well-rounded disciples of Christ.
We have classes for those as young as 3 y.o. to as old as you want to be.
Join our online Book Study group, which meets every other week on Fridays at 8pm.
We are beginning to read a new book, "
The Religion of the Apostles" by Fr Stephen De Young.
This is one of the best sellers among Orthodox books at the moment. The book "presents the Orthodox Christian Church of today as a continuation of the religious life of the apostles, which in turn was a continuation of the life of the people of God since the beginning of creation."
We meet via Google Meet; therefore, reply to this email to get the meeting link.
Thank you to everyone who dedicated time and effort to make sure that our picnic is back this year! Special thank you to James and Jaye Levitsky, Greg Karol, and Vickie Duin for taking the burden of organizing the picnic upon themselves; to Gene Kulick for making there was no slacking; and to Georgiana Sichuk the expert cleanup.

In the last
quarterly Newsletter, Fr Aleksey mentioned the need to figure out what is the purpose of our parish. Why do we exist? And where are we going? At this point, it seems we are aimlessly wandering into ... something. This simply can't continue.
Therefore, we will be forming a special task force - Parish Rejuvenation Team. The goal of this team will be to draft a Mission and Vision statements for our parish, and come up with specific plan of our we will implement them today and going forward. We will be looking for outside help to guide and coach us.
If aimless wandering is not your thing; if you care about the future of our parish; if you would like to contribute, please see Fr Aleksey or reply to this email.
(no prior experience is required, a simple desire for the growth of our parish as stewards of God-given gifts is enough)
If you or someone you know need help getting to and from church on Sundays (or other days), please let Fr Aleksey know, or reply to this email.
If you would like to volunteer to drive someone to church on your way here, also tell Fr Aleksey.
As the cruel and unprovoked invasion of and war in Ukraine by Vladimir Putin tragically continues, we, as Christians living in the USA, will continue to pray and help in whatever way we can:

1. Pray - here is a link to
three Prayers for Peace.

2. Help - on the first page of our website -
www.singac.com - you will find information for ways you can help either financially or with items donated. The information will be periodically updated.

May the Good Lord guard and protect those who are being bombed and tortured, wounded and displaced, and grant eternal rest with His saints to all the lives already lost in this senseless war.
Acquire the grace of the Holy Spirit also by practicing all the other virtues for Christ's sake. Trade spiritually with them; trade with those which give you the greatest profit. Accumulate capital from the superabundance of God's grace, deposit it in God's eternal bank which will bring you immaterial interest, not four or six percent, but one hundred percent for one spiritual dollar, and even infinitely more than that.

This week Dr. Jenkins welcomes back Dr. Joshua Moritz for wide ranging discussion on thinking about science as Christians, why scholars need other scholars to help them see, how the Bible and Tradition informs our science, why science is always an exercise in revision, and how our Faith should stand unashamed and boldly in the public square.
