The Dame Edna Experience
Saturday 31st December
The Dame Edna Experience is returning to help us celebrate NYE with a New Year's Eve Extravaganza in Fladbury Village Hall. There will be a disco and then the show. The show is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 or for those with a delicate constitution. The disco will resume after the show (about 11pm) to see the New Year in.
Tickets will be on sale later this month.
Don't miss this amazing opportunity to see Dame Edna who has an international reputation. We are so lucky that she has agreed to come back to the village.
Any queries please contact Helen Jones on 07891443428.

'Life in America'
by Gerard Womack
Gerard Womack, Fladbury, writes:
Recently my third novel 'Life In America' ISBN 978-1-80074-333-5 was published by Olympia Publishers – a sequel to my first romantic novel 'It All Began In Warsaw', ISBN 978-1-78830-074-2.
'Life in America' is set in the tense political background born of the aftermath of the Second World War, when two young people met in a chance encounter and began a lifelong love affair. However, they must face the perils of being reluctant pawns in the arena of Cold War espionage caught between the machinations of the US and the newly reformed Russian Federation. Helping to maintain the fragile peace between the two nations threatens to divide the two lovers casting a shadow over the idyllic romance. The story is one of profound struggle but also eternal hope and purist love.

A Service to Remember Loved Ones
This is a service we hold once a year, dedicated to remembering loved ones; also known as All Souls' Service. This year the service will be on Sunday 30th October at 4pm at St John the Evangelist Church, Charlton. It is a short service with hymns, prayer, an opportunity to light a candle in memory of loved ones and reflect. All are welcome and if you would like the name of loved ones remembered, please add them to the list which you'll find on the welcome desks of all our churches from 1st October. If you can offer transport or need transport to this service, please contact Meredith (tel: 446276) or Celia (tel: 861348).
Fladbury Village Harvest Celebration
What a lovely, relaxed & fun evening! So good to see all ages coming together, celebrating and saying "thank you" for Harvest and community. Thank you to all who came, all who shared food and drink, and those who provided games for the kids and young families. Thank you too for all who helped set up beforehand and clear away afterwards. A total of £65 was collected on the evening for Farm Africa, along with goods for Pershore Foodbank – the Five Alive Harvest Appeal.
