Based on Kenneth Grahame’s best-selling The Wind in the Willows with music by composer Arthur Sullivan this original production is a high-spirited tale of friendship and camaraderie. This boisterous comedy follows Mole, Rat, Badger, and the impulsive Mr. Toad, when their friendship is threatened and the Willows foursome must make Toad into a respectable member of society. WINTER IN THE WILLOWS is a humorous tale full of wit, a gorgeous score, and heartwarming lessons of friendship. The perfect fit for family audiences everywhere.

Mr. Toad- Teen to Adult. The village squire, and wealthy owner of Toad Hall. Toad is intelligent, creative and resourceful; he is also completely lacking in even the most basic common sense. He cares deeply for his friends and they in turn worry about his habits, and eventually help him mature settle down.
Mole – Teen to Adult. Mole is a sensible animal, yet generous and extremely loyal to his friends.. A 'younger' character than Rat or Badger, he slowly matures from a frightened animal into a self-reliant, brave and clever companion.
Badger-Teen to Adult. The 'oldest' of the animals, Badger is a stoic and solitary character. He is friendly and hospitable, caring deeply for his friends. Because of both his seriousness and his gruffness, he is the one who works hardest to reform Toad.
Ratty- Teen to Adult. Ratty is kind, sociable, and accommodating. He has a strong sense of manners and responsibility, so he wants to make sure everyone around him feels comfortable and included. Though loyal to all his friends, Rat cares most for Mole.

Grandma Mole- Teen to Adult. Matriarch of the Mole Family visiting the Willows. Very Proper and strict in her ideas about acceptable behavior
