CHECK OUT OUR NEW VOTE411 PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS
Our voter services team has created two powerful and persuasive videos designed to reach an audience that is younger, more diverse, and possibly discouraged or disaffected, to encourage these potential voters to learn more about the voting process.
VOTE411 – NOW! shows the anguish and anger of many who not only feel neglected but also mistreated by the system that governs them. The video points to VOTE411.org as a means of empowerment.
VOTE411 – BECAUSE! celebrates the value of voting and encourages viewers to use VOTE411.org to get tuned in to the voting process and their local issues, candidates, and voting options.
Thanks to Charlie Wilkinson for his work in designing and writing the video along with Hendersonville videographer, Indián Jackson. This link to our web site will give you more information about production of the video.
Take a look at these powerful videos and share the links on your own social media.

CAN YOU HELP PLACE YARD SIGNS FOR VOTE411.ORG ?
The Voter Services committee is looking for 3-4 more volunteers to take 5-10 VOTE411 signs to place in strategic locations around the county. We have some predefined routes, but we also have single signs available if you can place a sign in your yard or place of work.
Please contact Voter Services if you are interested. We will plan a central meeting place to pick up the signs. Directions will be provided.

NC State, through the 4-H program, is planning to revitalize the Kids Voting program for students K-12 with leadership from the NC Extension offices around the state. Here in Henderson County, Hannah Worrell Peeler is the Extension leader for the project. She was a Kids Voting 4-H student herself, so she is eager to see this program renewed.
Hannah would be happy to have volunteers from League who might help the 4-H students prepare the ballots, stickers, booths, and computers for online voting experiences at precincts. This will be separate from our League’s Students Voting for Democracy program (SVFD), which evolved locally when Kids Voting ceased to operate in NC in 2014. KV fulfills the 4-H Civics training component, and SVFD adds to civics education within the school system.
