Message from our President

How amazing it was to see everyone during the conference in Budapest. There was such a great atmosphere created by our host Zsuzsa Koves and her wonderful team who ran an excellent conference. We are all so grateful that we were able to meet once again.

As the year starts to draw to a close and we cuddle up to our fires in the northern hemisphere, while our friends in the southern hemisphere prepare for summer, I am reflecting on a productive year in the IKC. Each school has grown and developed and expanded the numbers. New committees have been formed to deal with new projects. The TFH School has taken on a project to edit the TFH School manual. The Professional School has  started a new project to have gatherings for Professional Kinesiologists.   The PDS is successfully meeting bi- monthly with their Meet the Authors project and getting ready to form new schools within the PDS. Meanwhile the Public relations department keeps so many projects running and this keeps us all together and working towards our collective goals.

Our next venture is to join with Knowlative in Tenerife, for a blended online and in person conference from 31st March to 3rd April. This is an exciting collaboration with Knowlative and IASK, and we’re delighted to have this opportunity. Working together in collaboration gives us all a stronger voice and helps us  build a bigger and stronger community.

Ger Casey, International Kinesiology College President

Touch for Health School

I can still feel the vibes of excitement I experienced at the IKC conference in Budapest. We were last together three years ago in Bali so meeting everyone in person again was beautiful.

Time flies and I just realised that it is already 11 years ago that the IKC decided to change paper certificates to e-certifcates. Since then we have been working efficiently, paperless and only recognising TFH e-certificates worldwide.

There are so many achievements to celebrate but I would like to give a special mention to Thomas Holvoet our new Caretaker Faculty for Tunisia. Congratulations Thomas!

Professional School

For this edition, I would like to highlight our newly graduated Professional Kinesiologists :
Carole Rey (Belgium), Blanca Coré (Belgium), Adeline Pierrot (France) and Nora Noll Yaiech (France) who completed their training in IBK (Belgium) which is a campus of the Professional School and Premalatha Shanmugan (Malaysia) who successfully passed her final assessment in Budapest.

They will be able to join their fellow IKC Professional Kinesiologists for the next Professional School online Gatherings in English on 11th January at either 10:00 or 19:00  EST and in French on 7th November at 19:00. All those registered with the professional school are welcome. (Contact me for details).

Congratulations to everyone and welcome to the family !

Thomas Holvoet, Dean of the Professional School

News from our International Conference

The first post-Covid IKC sponsored international conference was held from August 18th to 21st in Budapest, Hungary. The gathering was hosted by Zsuzsanna Köves and her local team on Marguerite Island, at the Ensana Thermal and Grand Hotel. Co-sponsors were IASK and Magyarországi Kineziológiai Alapítvány.
The theme was At Peace. The opening conference message states “We would like to live and work AT PEACE in August 2022: first of all with ourselves, as well as to help our clients to find peace in themselves (since each and every branch of kinesiology is working to create physical and spiritual balance). Our very own changes can guarantee the peace among our colleagues… (if our personal ecology is in balance, we can cooperate with each other, everything is in our benefit, we are in our very own center, so with the help of this equilibrium we can connect to each other and communicate in an assertive way). The changes of our clients have an impact on our environment…if we, all of us, are working more and more (on ethic way and on a highly qualified level), we have an impact on stress-free and positive thinking, on gentle treatment with ourselves, so with these we have an impact on the world… AT PACE     FRIEDEN    PAIX0    BÉKE    мир  MIR    ειρήνη    शांति        VREDE    perdamaian    síocháin    平和    和平    평화    spokój    PAZ           PEACE.”
Some facts about the conference:
  • 128 people attended
  • 24 countries were represented
  • 25 speakers
Events organized in conjunction with the conference were a visit to Parliament, Alma Latina band concert, a boat trip on the Danube and a closing dinner. Several workshops were offered before and after the conference, allowing participants to learn new techniques and deepen their knowledge.
It was wonderful to be able to meet once again and share ideas and balancing in person. Many thanks to the organizers and to all participants who attended.
The next IKC endorsed conferences will be:
  • Knowlative Connecting Communities 2023 conference in Tenerife, March 26th to April 2nd, 2023, https://www.knowlative.com/2023-conference/
  • 2023 International on-line Conference Lifelong Learning, from China, October 14th to 17th, 2023, https://lifelonglearning2023.wordpress.com/
