I am really honoured to have been awarded the AFL Community Woman of the Year Award by the Chair of the Essendon Women's Network Lisa Egan, and the AFL - Australian Football League. Thank you also to Harris HMC for sponsoring the award.
Congratulations also to Kelli Underwood - Australian Sportswoman of the Year and to Dr Brooke Patterson - Emerging Leader Award.
Thank you also to Brooke Hannaford from the SMJFL Board and Peter Martin for my nomination.
Of course, none of this would be possible if I wasn’t surrounded by such a great committee, coaches, volunteers, players, and their families.
