Time for our Annual Meeting!

October 22, 9:45-noon at Bible Baptist Church, 18 Simpson Drive, Oswego. Lunch provided.

>Pastors, this year, turning in your ACP numbers earns you a gift!   You'll get a link to a free subscription to Right Now Media, a huge Christian resource library including videos for the family.

Pastor Roger Knapton served in the CNY territory for many years. On September 17, at age 99, Roger passed into the presence of the Lord. His last church was the Clyde Baptist Church, (now called Open Arms Community Fellowship where Al Weaver is pastor), in Clyde, NY. During his years of ministry with the SBC, he served as President Emeritus of the NY Baptist Foundation, President of the Baptist Convention of NY, and Trustee of the Southern Baptist Mission Board.

>Looks like we'll have a new Church Plant in Kirkwood, just south of Binghamton! The Living Water Baptist Church, where Wayne Sabrava is pastor, will vote on Oct 9 to be their sponsoring/sending church. We are so excited to link arms with this fine group of Haitian believers. They are Redeemers Missionary Church. Daniel Pamphil is serving as their church planter pastor. I hope you'll come meet him on Oct 22.

>September 10th, Erwin Lutzer, Christian radio broadcaster, author, and 36-yr pastor of Moody Church in Chicago, was at Central Baptist Church, where Milt Kornegay is pastor. It was good to meet him and hear his "Lessons from a Thousand Sunday's". The luncheon meeting was sponsored by Mars Hill Network.

Emory Chapel, where Tracy Timms is pastor, is having a Fall Festival to promote and celebrate their new elementary Sunday School class. They plan to utilize the Association's Block Party equipment and invite the community!

>Casa de Paz, where Alex Rivera is pastor, is using the Block Party equipment for a community event at Schillar Park in Syracuse, on Oct 8.

>Living Water Baptist Church is doing a Fall Festival on Oct 29th with trunk-or-treats and using the CNYBA block party equipment. Also, this month Pastor Wayne Sabrava is celebrating 40 years of ministry!  Congratulations!!!!

 Please
Pray for these first-year SU students, that they would use their college careers for God's glory, reaching other students for Christ! These young people moved to campus three days earlier than their peers in order to start their college experience in Christian community. This marks the 44th year of Baptist Campus Ministry at SU!

>Check out this update from David Pope.

>Here's an update from our Haiti Missionaries, Dan and Madel Beck.

>The Martins are home from Peru and plan to report at the Annual meeting on the 22nd.

>This year's BCNY Annual Meeting was very encouraging! The speakers and reports were inspiring.

>Twenty-four central New Yorkers served at the Connecticut Mobile Baptist Builders' Mission trip. Our group made up 1/3rd of the team this time!  I'm so thankful for all who helped!

>I have retired from my position as Crosspoint senior pastor and plan to visit the CNYBA churches more often now. Together, we the CNYBA, have a God-sized task in helping to start churches, helping to grow churches, helping to support the evangelism efforts of our churches and missions. It's a God-sized task. Thank you for your prayer support and for your financial gifts! Although association receipts are down, ministry opportunities have increased, and there's inflation, too.  Please update your church on CNYBA missions and encourage your church to give. Thank you, and God bless you!
