A Joyous Visit from the Bishop & Confirmation!
It was wonderful to have Bishop Kevin Nichols join us on Oct. 9 for worship, confirmation, and a reception following. Congratulations to our 6 confirmands! A Verse for Today So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
- John 8:36
A Voice for Today Faith is not a weapon to be used, but a world to be explored. Christians, be sure to be on the side of those who want more people free and not on the side of those who want to take away that freedom. - Danté Stewart, “7 Reasons Not to Freak-Out About the Decline of U.S. Christianity”
A Prayer for Today Remind us Lord that this faith is a gift; may we invite others to partake in this journey of knowing you.
This Sunday we will be bidding farewell to our beloved organist and friend, Mary-Jo Cliff with one service of special music at 11 and a reception to follow. Please join us, if you are able, to celebrate the gift Mary-Jo's music ministry has been to Epiphany.
Thanks to Officer Rudolfi and K-9 Shadow for joining us at Epiphany's Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 8. What a pleasure it was to hang out with them! Pets who brought their people were gifted with Stately Pets certificates (thank you, Rebecca!), discount coupons for pumpkins, homemade pumpkin biscuits, and cat treats.
And here are a few of the other 10 or so pets and their people who received blessings from Mother Lou on a chilly morning.
It's not too late to send in your pet photo for the Epiphany Pets Collage to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis. Send your photo with pet name to epiphanyscoop@gmail.com and watch for the collage in the next week or two.
