Quercus Tip: Assessment Types in Quercus

Instructors can use Quercus Assignments or Quercus Quizzes to collect and assess student work. Quercus Assignments work well for submissions of digital work or images of handwritten work that can then be assessed offline or assessed directly in Quercus. Quercus Quizzes are best used for questions that the system can grade automatically, such as multiple choice questions, but Quizzes can also be used to set up timed completion windows for essays and other submissions. For a pedagogical overview of assessments, visit the A&S Digital Teaching & Learning page on quizzes and tests.

Contact tts.artsci@utoronto.ca for Quercus and educational technology support.
