SLC is sponsoring a fundraiser benefiting the Alzheimer's Association. Families are invited to collect old sneakers to bring to the school between now and October 28th. There will be collection bins in the office and on the 2nd floor by the elevators. All of the sneakers will then be shipped to Got Sneakers who recycles them and gives a cash return which will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association. Win-Win-Win!

This Friday is Decade Day! Students can select a decade from history and dress in that style. Remember to maintain our school’s personal appearance standards.

All of our school families are encouraged to attend to cheer on our girls and celebrate the great accomplishments they have made this year. The tournament will be held at the First United Methodist of Mesa Gym located at 15 E 1st Ave. in downtown Mesa. The gate fees are $1 per school-aged child (players excluded) and $5 per adult. Games will start at 1:30pm and proceed every hour after that. Players need to arrive at 1pm.

Save the date for Wednesday, November 23rd. It will be a half day preceding two days off for Thanksgiving break, and we always like to gather as a Faith Family for a special chapel assembly. We will share more details soon, but for now please pencil in 10am-12:30pm to join us if you can.

Sophomores and Juniors are required to take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Only juniors can qualify for the National Merit Scholarships, but it is good practice for sophomores. The cost is $20.00. The cost of the test will be added to your account. The test will be given at Faith on Tuesday, October 25 and will begin promptly at 8:30. The test should last approximately three and a half hours and should be finished by lunch.
A student study guide and practice test was given to students. If students have questions on the practice test, they may see Mrs. Smith.

Students will need to be at the school by 4:20. We will be eating at the Brio Italian Grille at San Tan Mall then seeing Sister Act at the Hale Theatre. After the play we will be going to Denny's on Recker and the 202 (5854 E. Longbow Pkwy) for cheesecake. Students will be picked up from Denny's at 11pm.
