OCTOBER 2022 COMMUNIQUE

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT : JACKIE MARTUCCI

Greetings everyone!

We hope you are all enjoying a fabulous fall so far!
We are thrilled to have our League Year well underway, with lots of social & volunteer opportunities planned!

Save the Date for our Sustainer Social on Wednesday, November 9th. This is a new, casual spin on our usual Sustainer Luncheon! We'll be enjoying hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and conversation at the Federal in Agawam. Invitations are on the way to you!

We also look forward to our annual holiday party on Tuesday, December 13th.
This potluck style event will take place in East Longmeadow, where we will fill 100 bags for Help Our Kids, Inc.

This is just a hint of what is to come. See below for even more exciting events!

We are still collecting the following items for the 'Ronald McDonald House' until 10/27: new toys for children 0-3 years and 14-22 years. (We're also collecting new books, pre-school age to adult, for their respite room.)

On Thursday, 10/27 at 6pm, we will need 5 volunteers to help prepare 'Meals from the Heart' for the families at the Ronald McDonald House. We will be cooking Lasagna or Baked Ziti with meatballs, salad, and garlic bread for 15-20 people. Please connect with Surlener if you’re interested.

Hi JLGS ladies! Following our social happy hour in September, we just hosted a fun night out doing Aerial Yoga where we challenged ourselves and had a lot of laughs. As November rolls in be on the look out for a social event.

Our new member class is also hard at work planning their new member project with Girls Inc. More details coming soon!

We will be donating a tree, and looking for volunteers to help procure items for us that fit our theme "It Starts With a Woman". Our goal is to have a tree filled with items all from locally female owned businesses. Please sign-up here to donate!
