Construction Committee

 

Balance in bank for Expansion / Construction as of 10/05/2022 - $426,395.59

 

The construction committee is requesting:

 

1- Approval of this floor plan with a $425,000 spending cap on renovations. Start looking for land in Corcoran to buy (15 Acres+). The next NWICC fundraiser will go towards purchasing land. Keeping the post office location as a Musallah/ primary location.

 

Renovations will include:

Dining hall conversion into a new Musallah and multi-purpose space

Existing Musallah to be used as a multi-functional space, ie Classrooms, dining hall, kids' play area, etc

Bathrooms- down to the studs, add a shower into the men/women's bath

Kitchen access from the dining hall

Include the “stage” area in the electrical/ storage room and increase the storage

Fix existing structures due to wear and tear ie corridor used by post office

 

2-Approval of a budget of up to $5000 to engage an architect and start the ball rolling in order to gauge what options are available to us and then start putting a budget together.
NO PARKING  on 32nd Ave
Parking During Elections
Due to elections from October 20 to November 8th, there will be limited parking for city employees. Please do not park in the city parking lot on Fridays.

Dear Minnesota friends and family

As you know by now, the recent floods in Pakistan have caused large-scale devastation. 
Families have lost their homes, businesses, cattle, access to roads & medical assistance has been shut down. 

If you are interested in helping with the flood relief efforts in Pakistan at a local level, please join Sep 11th event for Indus Hospital.

Indus, the largest medical network in Pakistan right now, has made the decision to collect funds for flood relief during Sep 11 (see details attached) and make the following urgent needs available for flood-affected areas in Pakistan.

- Mobile vans
- Mobile labs, and
- Medical supplies
- Clean Drinking water & Food Supplies
- Waterproof Tents for shelter

Please make an attempt to attend Sep 11th Indus Hospital event in person and donate in person.
If you cannot attend the event in person, please contact Asad Irfanullah, Afzaal Jalil, Masaood Yunus or myself for donations.

NWICC is organized exclusively for Islamic educational, religious, charitable, and social activities. All assets of NWICC are to be used for religious and social purposes documented in the by-laws. All its activities shall be in accordance with the Quran, authentic Sunnah, laws of the State of Minnesota, and the laws of The United States of America. The aim and purpose of NWICC is to serve the best interest of Muslims of Minnesota, particularly the Muslims living in the West and Northwest Metropolitan Areas (Plymouth/Maple Grove and its neighboring communities).
