A Wonderful Start To the Fall Semester!
The Triangle Writers Studio has started the Fall semester off with a bang! Harsha Sudhakar’s 5th grade class began discussing how to write good essays and developing their narrative skills. Soumya Shenoy’s 6th grade class worked on describing setting to be used towards future lessons on improving story elements and grammar.
Short Story Contest
This November, TWS will be hosting a “Thanksgiving” themed short story contest! As the flyer states, participants can only be in grades 5th through 8th and stories must be between 250-650 words. Select prizes will be given out for students who place in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Submit the short stories by November 30th!
Judy explains the structure of how most words in the English vocabulary is composed of prefixes and suffixes. With this information, she helps us understand how it can become easier for us to know the meaning of words when these elements are combined with root words.
Triangle Writers Studio is official!
After years of hard work and engaging with many students in the local community, the Triangle Writers Studio has officially become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! And this is only the beginning. We are so excited to keep expanding our services and inspiring students to grow their love for writing.
TWS is in need of teachers.
We are searching for high school and college students to become new teachers for our fall/spring terms. We prefer individuals who have experience in writing and teaching, but anyone is welcome to apply. Each teacher will lead an one-hour class for a small group of students.
