Reasons to be Thankful.

November is a month with many things we can be thankful for; one is veteran's day.
 
 Veteran's Day is observed annually on November 11, honoring people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, also known as veterans. It coincides with other holidays including Armistice and Rememberance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the end of world war I (major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect). The United States also originally observed Armistice Day; it then evolved into the current Veterans Day holiday in 1954.

Another thing we can be thankful for is the safety of those who go hunting every year.  Hunters are exposed to the elements, wild animals, the land, and other hunters with rifles or bows, but they also bring meat to our tables.  

The third thing we can be thankful for is our loved ones.  They are fathers, brothers, veterans, hunters mothers, sisters, and friends.  So as we sit down to Thanksgiving dinner on the 26th of this month, remember we have a veteran to thank for the freedoms we have, and family to appreciate those freedoms with.
