Using State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds for Supportive Housing
The SLFRF allowable investments include the development of affordable housing and supportive housing, costs for residence in supportive housing, and unreimbursed services not billable to insurance among the list of eligible uses of funds. The updated FAQs and new affordable housing guide issued on July 27, 2022 make it easier to use SLFRF with housing credits and grant programs.
Advocate for More Federal Investment in Affordable Housing
MAHC is a member of the National Low Income Housing Coalition. NLIHC has launched their federal hoUSed campaign for this fall and winter to encourage deeper and long term investments in providing stable, affordable housing for everyone in the US. MAHC Testimony and Recognition
MAHC shared testimony at the LD1240 Legislative Commission to Increase Opportunities for Housing on October 24. This is the Commission's fourth of six meetings and they began developing a draft set of agreed upon recommendations for the legislature.
MAHC was asked to share the HOMEforME pledge advocacy campaign with hundreds of national housing organizations at a National Low Income Housing Coalition partner meeting.
