Uncovering Canadians crypto knowledge and behaviours
|
The OSC is closely monitoring crypto asset developments in Canada and globally, and studying investor knowledge and behaviours. The Investor Office has just published an investor survey of 2,360 Canadians on crypto assets. It found 13% of people currently own crypto assets or crypto funds. The survey also found 38% of Canadians believe crypto assets currently play a key role in the financial system.
The survey provides insights into people’s attitudes and motivations for investing in crypto. It also provides valuable insights on Canadians understanding of crypto trading platforms, their risks and the rules and regulations.
