Dear Centennial Crew,

 We are looking for a 3rd parent representative for our Collaborative School Committee (CSC).  One of our ongoing goals at Centennial is to ensure that teams who guide our school, student leadership, Equity and Inclusion team, and CSC for example, are representative of our community’s demographic make-up.  For this reason, we are seeking to elect a parent to our CSC team who is a family of color.  Please take a moment to look over the attached letter detailing CSC and the nomination/election process. We were unsuccessful in filling this 3rd parent representative seat last year and would really like to have a full parent team on our CSC moving forward. As a reminder, all CSC meetings are open to everyone and previous meeting presentations can be found on the Centennial website. Last night we discussed our innovation renewal process and our equity work. Speaking of our equity work, we can’t wait to see you next week at our family night for Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday, 10/26! Potluck is 5:15 - 6:15; performance is 6:30 - 7:30. Congratulations for completing more than 1,000+ acts-of-service (and counting)! There is only one week left in our Raise Craze fundraiser, and we are only $10,000 shy of meeting our fundraising goal of $40,000. These funds go directly back into our school and help us provide important programs for our students & teachers year-over-year. 

In the final week of Raise Craze, we’d like to ask everyone in our crew to share it with others in your network! The more we spread the word (via email/text/social) the more donations we will generate from family, friends, coworkers, and community members. MORE EMAILS = MORE DONATIONS! We know you can help us get there!

Here are a few simple ways to spread the word about Raise Craze, and share how your student is completing acts-of-service this month:

1. Enter 3-5 Email Addresses using the Raise Craze platform 

2. Send 3-5 Texts Messages using the Raise Craze platform 

3. Share your students' donation link on Facebook using the Raise Craze platform

Did you know our Raise Craze efforts are making headlines in the news?! This fundraiser is so unique that it's generating some newsworthy buzz, which we all should be very proud of.  Feel free to share our news story with your friends, family, and social networks, too! 

Lastly, have you checked out the Leaderboard lately? Winning Crews can earn a pizza party for sending the most emails, and an ice cream social for completing the most acts-of-kindness. AND if we reach our fundraising goal of $40,000 AND 1,000+ Acts-Of-Kindness, the kids will get to SLIME me and Emily at the end of the month! Let's finish strong together!
