All Ages Diwali Service
Join in a multigenerational service to celebrate the Hindu festival of Diwali. Together, we will reflect on the significance of this holiday and participate in traditional Hindu rituals to celebrate the power of good over evil. You are invited to share in the custom of wearing bright, jewel-colored clothing to celebrate this festival. There will be special Indian treats as well!
Parent Meeting - 11:30am-12:30pm
Following the service, parents and caregivers will gather to connect with each other, discuss ways you and your family can live into the values and traditions of Unitarian Universalism, and share your hopes for the program this year. We have a number of new families in our congregation this fall, and I hope this can be a chance for you to connect with each other. We'll discuss what brought you and your families to the Unitarian Church of Montpelier (and why you've stayed, if you've been around for a while) as well as what you hope will be core and center to your kids lives when you’re no longer here.
We be gathering in the Fireplace Room for our meeting, and children in childcare can play in the Children's Chapel. I hope you'll join us.
