Ken Sheldon the author of Deep Water

On August 13, 1918, William K. Dean was murdered, his body dumped in a cistern on his Jaffrey farm. Was the murderer his ailing wife? Was it his best friend, a politically powerful banker? Or was it a former tenant, suspected of being a German spy? Kenneth M. Sheldon will read and sign copies of his book Deep Water, an in-depth examination into the murder that shocked the entire region.

Fostering Community Conversations on Racial Justice.

Antrim's "Fostering Community Conversations on Racial Justice": group (formerly the Antrim Antiracism Study Group) is committed to inspiring our community to discuss issues related to racial justice. We meet the third Thursday of each month from 6:30-8 pm via Zoom.
Beginning in October, we will discuss Dying of Whiteness: How the Politics of Racial Resentment is Killing America's Heartland, by Jonathan Metzel. Metzel is a white physician and sociologist who has studied how racial anxieties fueled legislative actions that have weakened health outcomes, increased gun violence and the dropout rate for all. Metzl demonstrates how cooperation would benefit white America more than supremacy.
