Hey everyone,
As longtime fans know, nothing in poker gets me as excited as mixed games, so you can imagine how thrilled I am to be jetting off to Malta in just a few days to host Cardplayer Lifestyle's Mixed Game Festival III.
It's our second live event this year and first to be held in Europe, specifically at the Portomaso Casino in St. Julian's as part of the Malta Poker Festival.
Beyond the natural fun they'll of course have while playing mixed games, there's a lot of added value for our players courtesy of our multiple sponsors. Click the image below to see "what's on the table":
Plus, for the first time, we're even offering players the ability to satellite in to our €230 HORSE tournament, via a €50 Onlive Poker sit n' go. Learn what that means by clicking on the image below.
Lastly, just a reminder that we'll be producing and publishing daily recaps of all the action happening at Mixed Game Festival III, thanks to the efforts of our longtime contributor Ivan Potocki, who will be on-site, so there's a good chance that you might even "see your name in lights". 😃
Why Mixed Games?
I've long been a lover of mixed game poker; after all, that's what I've been playing in my home game for close to 20 years now! For the longest time, it's just bothered me that I can't walk into any random poker room and sit down to play mixed games -- unless, of course, I had a large enough bankroll to play $300/600 or higher (spoiler alert: I don't).
So I decided to DO something about it and create the Mixed Game Festival in the first place. This is how we grow mixed games; one step at a time.
Anyone who has attended either of our first two live events in Las Vegas knows just how good a time our players have. With all the added bells and whistles, the core of our festival is the mixed game poker play itself.
I want players the world over to be exposed to all sorts of different poker variants beyond No Limit Hold'em, and I'm grateful that Malta Poker Festival founder Ivonne Montealegre has given me the opportunity to showcase them with a HORSE tournament and low-stakes dealer's choice cash games under the auspices of her phenomenal biannual series.
Here's hoping you can join us next week in Malta -- the action gets underway on Tuesday!
