Half term activities at Upton Country Park
There's lots going on at Upton Country Park during the half term holidays...

The Witches Brew Adventure trail
Search the grounds at Upton Country Park to find all the ingredients the Witch needs to create her potion. This free trail is from 22- 30 October, 10am-4pm daily and will certainly test your bravery! 

From 27-30 October, 10am-4pm daily, come and join in with Creepy Crafts in the Education Space at Upton Country Park. Choose from pinecone spiders, crafty paper fan cats and paper pumpkins. 
£3 per go.

Grab a seasonal hot drink from the Tea Rooms and head out into the Walled Garden to take a picture with our pumpkin display. 22- 30 October, 10am-4pm

Make your guess as to how much the large pumpkin weighs and share it just for fun, along with your picture on Instagram tagging @uptoncountrypark and using the hashtag #UCPPumpkinChallenge.

Halloween at Highcliffe castle
Head to Highcliffe Castle for some family fun in the October half term holiday.

Visit between 23-27 October to make some pumpkin bunting and enjoy the indoor lantern trail as you walk through the castle.
On Tuesday and Thursday you can also join a craft activity and make your own lantern. There's no need to book and it's included in the normal admission price.

Halloween trail at Kingfisher barn

Take part in our Halloween themed trail throughout the half term from 22–30 October between 10am-3.30pm. 

For £3 per trail, you can follow the spider theme as you walk along, finding out interesting facts about spiders - and there will even be a spider-themed prize at the end!

The Parks Foundation Halloween trails
The Parks Foundation have got some creepy Halloween fun in a number of parks this half term. 

Come and learn about some spooky wildlife while following self-led Halloween nature trails. These events are free, but please make sure you register for them before you arrive.

They've also got a number of other events running including autumn foraging and bulb planting, so get your wellies on and join in the fun!

The opening of Poole Park Railway

Poole Park Railway was officially opened last week. 
Hundreds turned out despite the rain to have a free ride on the train and enjoy the fun.
Cllr Mark Anderson expressed what this meant to the community.

This is a chance for you to share your views on the play spaces you and your family use to help us shape a 'plan for play'.

Look out for one of our community engagement sessions too!
