The KC Streetcar Holiday Jam is Back! Calling KC Musicians: Its Time To Jam on the KC Streetcar
(Kansas City, Missouri) – After three long years, the KC Streetcar Holiday Jam is back! The KC Streetcar Holiday Jam is a month-long live music series on board the streetcars and along the streetcar line.
The Kansas City Streetcar is looking for talented, local musicians to entertain riders during the 2022 holiday season. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to perform your music (both original and covers allowed) on board the KC Streetcar or at a streetcar stop. Inclusion of holiday music in sets is encouraged but not mandatory. Performances are anticipated to take place once a week during weekday evenings with a possible Saturday performance. A final schedule will be available mid-November.
In order to apply for the KC Streetcar Holiday Jam, applicants must apply online through the KC Streetcar website: https://kcstreetcar.org/holidayjam22/. Applications without music samples will not be considered. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on October 23, 2022.
This is a competitive selection process and qualified applicants will be notified of their selection status by November 4, 2033. Musicians must be local and can be individual or groups however group size on board a streetcar is limited to four. Musicians must be able to perform acoustic-style while on board the streetcar or provide a small and portable amplification system. If performing at a streetcar stop, musicians must be able to provide their own amplification system.
Specific performance dates and times will be determined but performances will generally happen in the late afternoon/early evening hours during the week as well as during the afternoons and evenings on weekends.
