Welcome back to the Richmond Parks & Recreation weekly newsletter! 

The leaves are changing and the temperatures are dropping around us as we enter the new season. With  the change means new events, holidays, and programs to mark your calendar for.

We have a bundle of things that will keep you active, creating memories with friends and family, and joining in on all the fun Fall festivities.

This week's activities include Trick or Treat in the Park , and the Farmer's Market!

Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Veterans Memorial Park Clean Up, Veterans ParadeFall Y'all Ride, and MORE! 

We are hiring!
The Parks Department has some full-time positions that are ready to be filled. You can apply online at www.richmondindiana.gov/opportunities or get an application from the Parks Office in Glen Miller. For more information you can call 765-983-PARK!

Mark Your Calendars

Trick or Treat in the Park 


Everyone join us as we enjoy the Trick or Treat in the Park on Saturday October 29th from 5PM-7PM! Get your costumes ready and mark your calendars for this FREE event. There will be games, goodies, and of course CANDY! Local organizations will hand out candy as they are decorated and lined up around the Glen Miller Pond. You won't want to miss out on a night of Halloween fun with the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department!

We'll be lighting the pond on fire for the perfect Halloween ambience. We have over 30,000 pieces of a candy, games set up in the front office and over 20 organizations set up around the pond for fun that won't stop the whole event! You won't want to miss all the fun we have planned here at Glen Miller.

Help Support Your Local Farmers, Makers, and Artists at the Summer Farmers Market!

 
Our vendors sell local produce, meat, eggs, honey, baked goods, handcrafted artisan goods, and much more!

Sneak Peak at November...
This year's annual Veteran's Parade will take place on Saturday, November 5th at 12pm. DUE TO CONSTRUCTION: This year the parade will go EAST on WEST Main Street from NW 8th Street to 1st Street.

Units will line-up, starting at 11am, on NW 8th St between W Main and Peacock Rd. All parade units should honor or commemorate the contributions of Veterans or display a patriotic theme. This event will take place rain or shine.

Come out and support our Veterans!
