Our mouths are still recovering from a fantastic DNR Chili Cook Off!

It was really fun to gather for DNR's Chili Cook Off this past week at CPW's 6060 Broadway Campus with a nice crowd and some awesome chili! There was a diverse collection of entries and all were amazing. But we did have to pick winners and those were:

First Prize: Brandon White, "Pork Green Chili"

Second Prize: Krista Frank, "Texas Charlies Everything Chili"

Third Prize: Candy Machuga, "Pork Green Chili"

Congrats to the winners! And thanks to our other chili cooks who included Bev Rairden, CPW (Green chili), Ginny Sednek, CPW (Green chili), John Anglin, CPW (Green Elk chili), Jeanette Barrow, EDO (Chipotle Acorn Squash Chili). All were really tasty and and the contest was close.

Our winners won prizes from Argonaut Wine and Liquor who we greatly appreciate for their sponsorship.

During the even we also received a special video message from Lieutenant Governor Diane Primavera who would have fit in well at our Cook Off because she is partial to green chili. Her message is below:

Thanks to our DNR Colorado Combined Campaign Chair Laura Kalafus and CPW's Heather Lauder, our on site coordinator, for such a great and festive room set up and organizing drinks, plates, chips, cheese and more!
