Cultivating Sacred Connections

This Sunday is the first Sunday of our Stewardship Season, which is focused on the theme, “Cultivating Sacred Connections.”  During the next three weeks, we will be sharing stories of how we connect with God, with one another, and with the world through the ministries of St. John’s.  Where have you seen Christ alive in our community?  What connections have you made at St. John's, and what connections have been nurtured, deepened, or transformed?  Each week in worship, you will have the opportunity to reflect on one of our three sub-themes:  connecting with God, connecting with one another, and connecting with the world.  Together, we will give thanks for the connections God is growing within and among us.  These are the connections that make up the kin-dom of God.

Seeking Children’s Church Volunteers
We are fortunate to have a very vibrant Sunday School program going this year, and we are looking for volunteers who would be interested in teaching or assisting with Children’s Church. If you’re interested, please sign up here. If you would like to learn more information about the curriculum and what a typical lesson looks like, please reach out to the Youth Ministry Team (Luke & Erin Rasmussen and Jason Shutters).

Additional works include Circle of Life by Sheena Phillips based on five Native American peoples, Judith Cloud’s Mesa Songs, a work inspired by the incredible landscape of Northern Arizona, and J. Aaron McDermid’s four-movement work, From Light to Light based on original texts by Susan Paulo Cherwien.
