Ordinations and Commissioning in 2022
This year in the South New Zealand Conference we have seen the commissioning and ordination of three of our pastors!
Pr Tulaga Aiolupotea was ordained in February at Invercargill Church, alongside his wife Vineta and their five children. Tulaga has worked in our Conference since 2010, and in that time has served as a Bible Worker, Minister and School Chaplain. He has a passion for creative ministries and young people combined with a deep love for the gospel. Tulaga is currently the pastor of Invercargill Church and the Chaplain for Southland Adventist School, and his wife Vineta is a teacher at the school.

Pr Sarah-Jane Riley was commissioned in July at Maranatha Church in Rotorua, which is her family church. Sarah-Jane has served in our Conference since 2009. She started with us as a Youth Bible Worker, and over time has filled the roles of Youth Director, Minister, and Discipleship Director. She has a passion for seeing people grow in their walk with Jesus, and for helping the church to move forward along the path God is calling us. Sarah-Jane is currently the pastor for The Haven church in Nelson, however she has recently accepted a call to North New Zealand for 2023. She will be greatly missed - but more on that in another South News!

Pr Jeremy Flynn was ordained last weekend at Hamilton Church, alongside his wife Catherine and his three children. Jeremy and Catherine accepted the call to South New Zealand at the start of this year, with Catherine taking on the role of Head of Primary at Christchurch Adventist School, and Jeremy becoming the pastor for Papanui Church as well as our new Youth Director. They and their children have been a huge blessing to our Conference this year, and we are looking forward to seeing their ministry continue to flourish in the coming years.

SNZ Big Camp 2023
8-14 January 2023 (Check-in from 10:00am on Sunday 8 January, check out by 12:00pm on Sunday 15 January)
Big Camp is a bi-annual event designed to help us grow in our faith and connect with other believers from around South New Zealand. There are activities every day for each age group, and the ability to either camp onsite or visit during the days/evenings. We will be joined by Pr John Bradshaw as our guest speaker in the Big Tent.
