Congratulations and the best of luck to all of our Sunshine Coast Business Awards Finalists!

Judging is now complete, and on Tuesday 11 October the finalists in the 2022 Sunshine Coast Business Awards gathered for a media masterclass and cocktail party that brought together sponsors, judges and the Awards Management Committee.

As proud Platinum Sponsors of the Awards, Deputy Mayor Cr Rick Baberowski and Council staff were in attendance to meet the business owners behind the outstanding businesses, hear their stories and connect them to opportunity.  It was fantastic to see so many new businesses entering, and be reminded of all the promotional opportunities that open up for those who enter.

We look forward to celebrating with and congratulating all the winners and finalists at the 2022 Sunshine Coast Business Awards Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on 12 November at the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre.  Be sure to check out the finalist lists and connect to and support all your local business champions.
Accessible Tourism in Queensland: Training Session

Tourism businesses are invited to attend a free face-to-face training session in Marcoola on October 27, delivered by Get Skilled Access on behalf of the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport as part of the Accessible Tourism in Queensland project.

The session includes a 90-minute presentation for Queensland tourism businesses that will cover all aspects of disability inclusion and accessibility for frontline tourism staff and provide the skills to welcome guests with disability at your service, attraction or business. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about how to be disability inclusive and ask any questions you may have in a fun and safe space.

Accessible tourism is also an important part of the preparation for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and will contribute to Queensland becoming a truly accessible tourism destination ready for this global event.

Eager to bring power equipment manufacturing onto Australian shores, this led the business to design, develop and build their generators. Eniquest became the only Australian business to build commercial DC alternators as they endeavoured to make generators from local components.
