DAFT Festival News & Workshops Begin November 11th

DAFT is proud to bring back its in-depth workshops (postponed in 2020 by COVID) and can’t thank enough the staff and administration of the Motion Picture Institute for sharing its amazing facility in Troy along with its talented staff who join top educators and media pros to help all teachers improve the content of their classrooms. We look forward to our 10th annual Media Teacher Symposium on December 2nd at MPI . School memberships receive two free passes for attendees. DAFT individual memberships receive a discounted rate of $50 person. DAFT continues to proudly include stipends for presenters, so if you think you’ve got a great workshop, let us know at info@mpifilm.com.

This will be our 8th annual Media Student Symposium on December 9th at MPI featuring multiple 45 minute workshops for students on all aspects of media production with presenters from the industry and top educational programs across the state. School memberships receive free passes for attendees (varying number based upon the purchase plan—see below).

Entries are now being accepted for the 55th Michigan Student Film Festival at the DIA’s Detroit Film Theatre on June 3, 2023! More info right here!
