October is a glorious time of year as peak foliage rolls thru our beloved region. Maybe we are now a touch post-peak, depending on your precise location, and one person's peak is another person's near-miss. If you miss the peak color in one place, you can always look elsewhere later — at least until the end of October. As with every year, we never see the same show twice. A time of year made more magnificent as you might catch a painter with a roadside easel painting the masterpiece of your shared landscape—a gorgeous period of reflection and transformation indeed. As the brilliant varieties of color roll through the region, we all seek to catch the fleeting glimpses of the stunning spectacle of autumn delight. Our fortunate diversity of the TriState with the pastoral Hudson Valley, the rolling hills of Litchfield County, and the lusciousness of the Berkshires create the perfect place to take it all in.
