Work Experience Opportunity: Hallam i-Lab

Monday 6 – Friday 10 February 2022 (work experience week)

We have a number of spaces on an experience scheme at  Hallam i-Lab, part  of Sheffield Hallam University. You’ll spend the week in the university’s dynamic business co-working space.  It’s used by students and graduates who are running (or planning to run) their own business.

The focus of the week will be enterprise and the skills and mindset that make us enterprising, including:
  • adaptability
  • problem solving and innovation
  • resilience
  • being unafraid to make mistakes
  • self-confidence.
During the week, you’ll get a fascinating insight into what life is like at the Hallam i-Lab. You’ll meet real business owners and hear their stories of success…and failure too, as well as developing your own ideas.  Most importantly it’ll be fun, and you’ll get experience of working in an entrepreneurial environment.

The experience might be of particular interest to business students, but it is open to students of any subject who would like to find out more about being enterprising or running a business or social enterprise. Interested or wanting to find out more? Please email careers@meadowhead.sheffield.sch.uk.
