Dear Teachers,

It’s a dark and stormy night. You’re working late in your classroom grading lab reports. You hear the door creak open and a shadowy figure appears. It’s one of your students coming to tell you about their idea for a science fair experiment. You react with horror when you realize it’s a subject you know nothing about!

All theatrics aside, many of you have expressed concerns about not knowing enough about your students’ projects to support them in their journey. If this resonates with you, then please join us on November 16 for a Learn & Connect on strategies for guiding your students when you know little about their topics. We’re also meeting next week, November 1, to share resources for helping students choose a research question. The links to those sessions are below.

These sessions will be recorded and accessible on the Teachers > Learn section of our website. There, you’ll see the recording of last week’s Learn & Connect on 2023 Logistics & Overview. In our next newsletter, look for instructions on getting your students registered for our free online short courses.

Enjoy the rest of October,

The MSSF Team
