Weekly Features

Head of School Subs for First Grade

Dr. Dube had the opportunity to fill in for Mrs. Opp's first grade class last week for a few minutes.  His assignment as the sub was to read a book together.  In his own words, here's how he described his time... "So, like a good classroom substitute, I did make sure that I followed the teacher’s directions by spending a few minutes reading with the class.  We read about Gertrude the Flying Cow :) but, I also went off script a bit to ask the class what they loved about their teacher.  We put all the answers on the board for Mrs. Opp to see.  She’s nice!  She makes us giggle!  She has fun with us!  She cares about us!  She teaches us!  She disciplines us!  She does so much for us!  She uses funny voices!  She teaches us math!  She takes us out for recess!  She helps us learn!  She reads to us!  She plays with us!  She prays with us!  And, she loves us!"

Principal for the Day!

We had a new Principal for the day on Monday! Lilly Jerome won being principal for the day at our PTL live auction earlier this year and came ready to work hard with Mrs. Mogle!

PTL's Unsung Hero Award

Congratulations Domingo Serrano who was honored with the first PTL "The Unsung Hero Award!"  There are many words to describe Domingo. Kind, happy, giving, a blessing and so much more. Domingo is a man after God's own heart. He loves the Lord and His Word, and he is always ready to pray. He moves about each of his days with a quiet and humble servant's heart. He is always willing to help, always ready to work, always looking to his Lord, and always putting Jesus first. Without him on our Facilities staff, there would be things that would fall apart. So today, we honor and thank our Lord for the man of God, Domingo Serrano.

Salt and Light

Our students are being “Salt and Light” by writing letters to local nursing homes so that residents have mail to open and feel appreciated! (pictured: Emma Beers and Claire Duarte)

MS Chapel Speaker

Thank you to Young Life Ridgefield for coming to our Middle School chapel today! They played some fun games and spoke to our kids about what the Bible has to say about friendship.
