A big shout out to our amazing West Lake Counselors! They put on an amazing college week full of trivia, scavenger hunts, photo booths, and fun lunch time activities. Thank you for encouraging our students to think of their lives after high school and encouraging all forms of post-secondary education. Please continue to speak with your student about their future goals and the life you'd like for them to have after high school.

Bus Behavior Reminder
A lot of inappropriate behavior has been reported on busses this year. We have seen things like: throwing water, throwing lotion, water bottles, wood planks, blue dye, and fighting. We know that this is a huge safety concern and are asking for your support. Please work with your student and discuss proper behavior.
Students that violate these procedures will be suspended from the bus and/or from school.

The final regular season soccer game is today (10/26). Boys Soccer will be playing home against Hunter Jr. The Girls team will be away at Hunter Jr. Please come and support our team (don't forget your lawn chair)! All games start no later than 3:15pm.
After AWAY games students will be dropped off at: 3175 S 3450 W, West Valley City, UT 84119. This is the closest to the original community that we can get students. Students can walk from there or will need to be picked up by a parent no later than 4:30 pm.
After HOME games students will take the after school activity bus (or they can be picked up).
If students are not in a sport, but want to spectate, they will need to arrange their own transportation; we have a limited number of spaced on the activity busses.
The season championship will be on Wednesday (10/31).

As a reminder, the Basketball Information Session will be on October 31 (10/31) at 3:30pm on Google Meet. Students should attend using the code WLBorha if they are interested in trying out. The girls basketball team will practice at West Lake, while boys will be practicing at Taylorsville Recreation Center.
Students who make the team will be charged an activity fee. The first game will be on November 21st (10/21). Our students will be facing Kearns Jr. for their first game. All games start no later than 3:15pm.
