Check for registration holds; important upcoming academic dates

All students should check the registration portal and resolve any holds that might prevent registration; you must clear holds with the office that placed the hold. Undergraduate students should note the following: Oct. 24 is the last day to drop with a grade of “W” full term. Oct. 28 is the last day to drop a second part-of-term class and is the last day to change from a letter grade to pass/fail in an approved second part-of-term class. Undergraduate students must meet with their adviser by Oct. 28 and receive their PIN for self-service registration. Graduate and professional students should consult with their respective school or program regarding registration for Spring 2023.

Academic Resources Awareness Week (ARAW) - Oct. 24-28

The goal of ARAW is to make students aware of all the free on-campus academic resources available to them — from peer tutoring and help centers to academic coaching, ZSR research sessions, and more. View the schedule of events and plan to attend. We especially encourage students to drop by our CLASS Café — a pop up café with seasonal treats and fun conversation — on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in front of Reynolda Hall on Hearn Plaza (the Quad).

Project Pumpkin - Oct. 25

Project Pumpkin is a Halloween-themed festival for local children including trick-or-treating, carnival games, entertainment, and educational activities. Join us on the Quad on Oct. 25 from 3-6 p.m. to witness all the fun!

Protect your Thanksgiving plans by getting your flu shot and a COVID booster

Flu season is just beginning, and cases in our area are already up over the same time last year. While not required, you are strongly encouraged to get a flu shot and a COVID booster. Getting your shots before Halloween can mitigate the risk of illness impacting your Thanksgiving plans. The Student Health Service is offering flu shots by appointment: email apptshs@wfu.edu or call 336.758.5218 to schedule. COVID boosters are available in the local community; find COVID shots here.

One-Stop Early Voting begins today

One-Stop Early Voting began today and runs until Saturday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. ET. During this time, you can register and vote all at once at any early voting location in Forsyth County (the closest location is Winston-Salem First Assembly, just off campus across from Deacon Place). See this website for everything you need to know about voting.

Want to know about upcoming events? Check The Link or the Corq app

The Link, which feeds the Corq app, can show you upcoming events by student organizations, and is searchable by date, theme, and more. Be sure to check regularly for events that may be of interest to you.
