Our presbytery family

From First Presbyterian Church of DeFuniak Springs: On Sunday October 9, First Presbyterian Church of DeFuniak Springs honored Laurice Andrews as she retired from her job of 26 years as Christian Education Director. The celebration began during morning worship service with special music from the children’s Jubilee Choir and a resolution read by Rev. Steve Rhodes. The festivities continued after the service with her family, church family and many friends. During this time, there were many gifts given, memories shared, tributes made, and of course, a wonderful meal prepared by church members, all as a token of our appreciation for this remarkable woman.
Laurice’s service and commitment to our church has gone far beyond her job title. She has been the go-to person for anything church related, and we’ve depended on her to 'keep things going', probably more than we should. She has been the 'Salt of the Earth' for FPCDFS for many years and we love her for it. Congratulations Laurice, on a job well done!
We are pleased to announce that Chelsea Campbell-Work has been chosen as our new Director of Christian Education. We are excited to see what the future holds as we continue to serve Christ by serving our community."

► Gulf Breeze Presbyterian's congregation will enjoy cake and ice cream Sunday after worship as they celebrate Lauren Christian's service as GBPC Youth Director and offer best wishes in her upcoming studies at Columbia Theological Seminary.

First Presbyterian of DeFuniak Springs invites you to a celebration of Beckie Mooney's 90th birthday Sunday, Nov. 13, 3 – 5 p.m. CST, in their Fellowship Fall.  Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church is making plans for its annual Living Nativity, a spiritual journey through the wonders of Christ's birth. Along the way, visitors will meet people from the Bible who will share their stories. The  new script and cast will be incorporated this year, and provision for rain has beenn made by holding the "journey" in the church sanctuary. Plan to join the journey 5:30 – 8 p.m. CST Saturday, Dec. 10, at Laurel Hill Presbyterian, 8115 Fourth St., Laurel Hill.
