We've won multiple blue ribbons for our ideas and were most recently named 2021 Chapter of the Year. 2022 Evergreen Scholarship Recipient Attends BMI l
As the week at BMI 1 came to a close, I reflected on how incredible a week it was. It was surreal getting to learn from, and with, some of the greats in the industry; a moment I will forever appreciate. Having the opportunity to grow personally and professionally with a network of fellow managers across the nation throughout this process is priceless. I walk away from this experience excited, grateful, and eager to continue to grow and develop. My only regret is not starting this entire process sooner. This wouldn't have happened without the scholarship earned through the Evergreen Chapter. A big heartfelt 'thank you' to the Evergreen Chapter and all in our industry who continue to encourage, guide, teach, and support this type of growth.
DOL's Proposed Independent Contractor Rules
DOL finally issued its updated Independent Contractor (IC) Classification Rule. The return to the "Economic Realities Test" wasn't a shock but it certainly wasn't what we wanted to see - at all. Unfortunately, this proposed rule will likely make it more difficult for club leaders to accurately classify some of their caddies, fitness instructors, massage therapists, etc. as independent contractors...
Evergreen Chapter Members Attend BMI lV in Scotland
For those of you have ever attended a BMI program offered through CMAA, the curriculum of education and expanding of relationships within the club industry are some of the most rewarding professional memories you will ever experience. This year, a group of nearly 100 CMAA members
and significant others descended on Edinburgh, Scotland. It would be an understatement to suggest our week touring the links and golfing societies of Scotland was anything less than amazing. READ MORE
