Two Motorola Razr models will launch in 2023

MOTOROLA

What's happened?

Motorola is expected to launch two new folding phones in the RAZR family in 2023.

Why does it matter?

Motorola announced a new RAZR in 2022, but has been slow to bring it to markets outside China.

What's my take?

There's no shortage of folding phones launching at the moment and Motorola's iconic RAZR has always been one to watch.

The first iteration wasn't great - it was out of date by the time it launched and technically not up to the same standard as Samsung's rival - but that might all be about to change.

The information comes from Evan Blass, a long-time leaker with an impressive track record for accuracy, so well worth paying attention to, because Motorola might be about to double its efforts.

A MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chip may debut with the Vivo X90 Pro+

POCKET-LINT

What's happened?

A new report has the upcoming Vivo X90 Pro+ being the first phone to make use of the equally-new MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chip.

Why does it matter?

We're expecting to see new flagship hardware from both MediaTek and Qualcomm in the next month.

What's my take?

You might still be in the camp where you dismiss MediaTek - but you shouldn't be. The company is making significant moves, trying to throw off the image as the poor cousin to Qualcomm in the chip stakes - and having some success too.

It's no surprise that MediaTek and Vivo might be aligning - we've seen Xiaomi on stage at previous Qualcomm events presenting itself as the first to launch with new Snapdragon hardware and it looks like Vivo might be about to do the same.

What's also interesting is that we're now seeing versions of phones offered with both Qualcomm and MediaTek hardware - with the ROG Phone 6D being a perfect example. What's clear is that MediaTek wants its Dimensity hardware taken seriously.

Gotham Knights review: Who needs the Batman?

POCKET-LINT

What's happened?

When Gotham Knights was first announced it was assumed that it'd be a follow-up to the hugely successful Arkham series. After all, it's based in Gotham and, while the Dark Knight Detective isn't the star himself, a quartet of former sidekicks are. However, it soon transpired that it wasn't to be an Arkham sequel - it's not even set in the same universe.

Our quick verdict

There are a few elements of Gotham Knights that could be better, and it does occasionally fall foul of the less welcome open-world action adventure tropes. But its story, characters, voice acting and, above all, presentation, make it a worthy way to spend a decent amount of time. It's no Arkham successor, but has enough about it to stand on its own two feet, and could introduce you to some new favourite heroes along the way. Read our review.
