Packing can be a struggle. Many people opt to DIY, while others don't.

Packing fragile objects, works of art, and antiques is the one aspect of packing that causes the greatest trouble and we think best left to the professionals.

Nonetheless, it's always a good idea to have a clear understanding of how your possessions should be packed, regardless of the route you choose.

  • If you choose to pack up yourself, you'll know the necessary supplies and understand how to pack.

  • If you choose to hire help, you'll know how to screen potential companies.

To be on the safe side, look for packers who specialize in securely packing fragile objects, such as prized antiques and valuables. Ask them for details on how they pack fragile items and irreplaceable antiques.

There are 10 packing suggestions for antiques and breakables in this infographic.
