Faces of Open Government: Ouiame el Moustamide

Ouiame el Moustamide, Head of the Studies Division and Coordinator of Morocco OGP team at the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, sat down with OGP to share her insights on the progress Morocco has made so far in OGP and what she hopes the Regional Meeting can accomplish for the open government community in Africa and the Middle East.

On October 1, we welcomed the Government of Chile, Natalia Carfi, Eka Gigauri, and Barbara Schreiner to the OGP Steering Committee. The governments of Germany and Indonesia were reelected to serve another term.

- OGP CEO Sanjay Pradhan, the Director of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe Rafael Benitez, and the Executive Director of the Association of Ukrainian Cities (AUC) Oleksandr Slobozhan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support in the reconstruction of Ukrainian communities after Russia’s full-scale invasion.

- OGP Local was part of the UCLG World Congress held in Daejong, Republic of Korea, where we facilitated a dialogue on the future of open government and presented a policy paper on restoring trust in local governments.

- Join us for the first session of the OGP Local Circle on the 2030 Agenda and SDGs on October 27 at 17:30 UTC.

- Detmold, Germany, is looking into citizen participation and open data to strengthen its neighborhoods.

- Join the first National Summit of Open Data in Spain on November 21. OGP Local member Aragon is a co-organizer.
