Dario Estrabao provided some kind words regarding Lernie:
Lernie was the first Samoan officer in our department, and he was instrumental in assisting in investigations involving suspects of Samoan descent. He was also often used as a source in outreach to the Samoan community. Lernie could always be counted on.

Retired Ofc. Rick Mizgorski and current Reserve Officer, submitted his application to join the PBA.
