St. Johns Youth Academy

Tutoring has resumed at the St. Johns Youth Academy, with new and returning volunteers.  But there is always a need for more tutors.

You can become a tutor if you are over 21 years of age and can assist a youth in basic English, social studies, science or math skills.  The student materials are provided.  You just need to bring your patience, consistency, and encouragement.  Having their GED opens more opportunities for success for these youth.  If you would like to explore being a tutor to a young male in our detention facility to help him get his GED please contact Ervin Bullock: ervinbullock@yahoo.com.

The Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine is pleased to welcome local Living Legend Sandra Parks to talk about her experiences growing up on St. George Street.
