Hooray for rain and snow in the mountains!

The Oakridge AQI is finally green and the rain is forecasted to continue. We're permitted to continue shuttling in Oakridge into the winter if the weather isn't too wet.

The season is winding down and we're transitioning to winter operations, but the fun isn't over yet. Read on for end of season fun, professional develoment and bikes, bikes, bikes. 
 

Nuts and bolts

• Cog Wild Employee Appreciation: Come celebrate the 2022 season with November 4-6 in Oakridge. We'll do trail work on November 5, ride bikes, forage mushrooms, play disk golf and enjoy time with one another. Please RSVP whether you can make it or not by this Friday, 10/28 so that we can plan appropriately. Transportation is available to and from Bend. 
• Wilderness First Responder Recert Opportunity: Mt. Bachelor Patrol is organizing a hybrid WFR recert through Cascade Wilderness Medicine that will be held in Bend on November 19&20 (pre work assigned too) for $285! That's a screaming deal. Contact Dave (DT) Thomas, Patrol Director with questions or to sign up.  
• Last call for bike fleet sales. We're opening the remaining bikes to the public next week. The bikes are 2020 to 2021 models, look them up on the Santa Cruz Website. We have a few medium and xl tall boys and a size run of chameleons available. 
• Employee pricing for new bikes: maybe a used bike isn't your thing. Employees have been buying Ibis bikes at a disount, contact Lev if you are interested.
