Metacognitive Skill Building: Routines and resources designed to help students think about their learning with Dr Catlin Tucker

Dr. Catlin Tucker is an author, international trainer, and keynote speaker. She was named Teacher of the Year in 2010 in Sonoma County, where she taught for 16 years. Catlin earned her BA in English from the University of California at Los Angeles, her single subject teaching credential and Masters in Education from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and her doctorate in learning technologies from Pepperdine University. Currently, Catlin is working as a blended learning coach, education consultant, and professor in the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Pepperdine University.

Catlin works with schools and districts all over the world supporting their transition to blended learning. Catlin designs and facilitates professional learning to help leaders, coaches, and teachers to cultivate the mindset, skillset, and toolset necessary to thrive in blended learning environments. Catlin encourages educators to blend the best aspects of technology and tradition to shift students to the centre of learning. She also works with leadership teams and instructional coaches to explore how they can support this shift by developing a robust professional learning infrastructure that weaves professional learning into the fabric of the school.

Catlin has written a series of bestselling books on blended learning, which include UDL and Blended Learning, Balance With Blended Learning, Blended Learning In Action, and Power Up Blended Learning. She is active on Twitter @Catlin_Tucker and writes an internationally ranked blog at CatlinTucker.com.
