Though He Slay Me
God is good! Even though we face difficult health problems, God's still provides abundant grace for every test (remember the apostle Paul's thorn in the flesh?). When we trust that God deals with all His beloved children in mercy and love, we can confidently say, as Job said, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him" (Job 13:15). And we do! We cling to Christ as our sure anchor of the soul. We look with eyes of faith to our kind heavenly Father. We walk by faith, not by sight. We trust Him!
Merciful Provision
Though God owes us absolutely nothing, He is often delights to lavish His children with bountiful provisions, meeting our every need. We have only been state-side for about a week now, but we have seen the Lord work in mighty ways. God has graciously provided for our all traveling expenses, given us a reliable vehicle to drive, directed us to good doctors, and opened a door to temporary housing in North Carolina near family. It has been remarkable to see God preparing the way back for us to get the medical help Natasha needs. Praise Him!
What the Future Holds
We still have a deep desire to serve God as missionaries! Suffering does not dampen our spirit to serve the Lord together on mission. We will continue to depend on the Lord to direct our steps as we seek Him diligently during this temporary time in America.
We trust you all will understand why we need to take a medical furlough, and will pray for us during this time of trial and testing. Thank you for your continued support in the mission, especially during this hour of greatest vulnerability and need.
