Theatre of the Beat Presents Selah’s Song It is the story of a young girl's music that the village in which she lives has grown to enjoy. The peace theme of her music stands in stark contrast to the War Memorial Day the King has decreed. This is complicated further when her father returns home from serving in the armed forces. Music is written by Brian Moyer Suderman. Admission by donation.

Shekinah Work Day!  Saturday, October 22nd - 9:00am to 4:00pm.  Shekinah would love to finish the work around the windows on the inside of the Timber Frame cabins before winter and they need your help. This is not heavy work; however there are six windows in each of the four cabins, so many hands would make for an efficient work bee! Coffee will be served along with a tasty treat and lunch will also be provided. Please bring an impact driver or drill if you have one and small hand tools. Shekinah will have all supplies required for the work that needs to be done. Call Ron at Shekinah if you have any questions (306.945.4929). Come out and bring a friend!
And here are some upcoming events happening in the Timber Lodge before the end of the year:
November 19, 2022 - Wine & Cheese Event, 6:30pm
December 11, 2022 - A Very Shekinah Christmas, 2:00pm **

MDS volunteers hard at work in Atlantic Canada after Hurricane Fiona “People are really thankful, they can’t imagine we are doing it for free.” That’s what Nick Hamm said about the tree cutting service being provided by Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) Canada in Antigonish and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, over the past two weeks following Hurricane Fiona. These are two of the hardest hit areas in the province. MDS Canada is appealing for volunteers to assist with clean-up efforts in Cape Breton. There is a particular need for experienced chainsaw operators and roofers. Accommodations and meals will be provided; travel reimbursements are available. People who are interested in volunteering can contact Clara Flores at cflores@mds.org or by calling 866-261-1274. As part of receiving a scholarship from the MC Sask Student Education Fund, applicants are requested to send a note explaining how they will be using their scholarship.

Zenon Borne
Osler Mennonite
Rosthern Junior College High School, grade 10

I would like to thank MC Sask for the scholarship awarded to me. RJC has been a great experience in the month I have been here. Already RJC has shown me it's a great place to learn and grow as a student. The classes are set up so that learning is easy and encouraged. Living in the dorm has been one of my life's most significant and best changes. The best part of living in the dorm is the community. The community is one I actively want to be a part of. Participation is encouraged and everyone does at least something after school or on the weekend.  I am currently involved in volleyball, singers, and hanging out with my new friends. RJC is a great place to go to school and I am so thankful to have received the MC Sask Student Education Fund Scholarship.    ** **
