The 2022 Prix MNB Awards are coming up FAST & we are thrilled to present them! Still catching its breath after such a long disruption, the New Brunswick music community is looking forward to celebrate the resilience and the creativity of their fellow artists and industry professionals

The 13th edition of the Prix MNB Awards Show will take place in the Bernard-LeBlanc Hall at the Aberdeen Cultural Centre (Moncton) and will also be live-streamed on Facebook. The Awards show kicks off Conference (506) [OCT 20·22 2022], a three-day industry event which features conference and networking sessions for artists and industry professionals, as well as a showcase opportunity for emerging New Brunswick artists.

Les Prix MNB Awards 2022 approchent à grands pas! Malgré tous les bouleversements des dernières années, la communauté musicale du Nouveau-Brunswick a hâte de célébrer la résilience et la créativité de ses artistes et de ses professionnel·les de l'industrie!

MVP Project Round 9 - CLOSES NOVEMBER 3rd

Have a music video project in mind? Round 9 of the MVP Project is currently accepting applications, until 5pm EST on November 3, 2022. A joint initiative of RBCxMusic and the Prism Prize (administered by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television), the MVP Project has already funded over 50 canadian music videos. Recipients of the MVP Project get a chance to be awarded a production grant valued between $5,000 and $15,000.

Dawson City Music Festival is now receiving applications to our Songwriter in Residence program

Full program information, including eligibility criteria and the online application form, is online here. The deadline to apply is November 14th, and the residency takes place for the month of January 2023 in Dawson City, Yukon. Return travel (within Canada), housing, studio space, and a professional fee for a performance are provided for the successful applicant.

National Music Centre Announces Call for Applications for 2023 OHSOTO’KINO Recording Bursary for Indigenous Artists

Call for applications open now for recording bursary, closes on October 27

Description: A new national call for applications for the National Music Centre’s 2023 OHSOTO’KINO Recording Bursary has been announced. First Nations, Métis, and Inuit artists from communities across Canada are encouraged to apply.

The OHSOTO’KINO Recording Bursary provides two opportunities per year (one for contemporary music, one for traditional genres) for Indigenous artists to create a commercial recording (LP or EP) inside National Music Centre’s world-class recording facility in Calgary, Alberta. The program provides access to recording studios and a “living collection” of musical instruments, spanning 450 years of technical innovation.

C’est ce jeudi 13 octobre que sera lancé le nouvel album de la chanteuse acadienne Émilie Landry. «Enfiler mes bottes» est un disque à l’univers country/folk. L’auteure-compositrice-interprète de Campbellton s’est inspirée, dans cet album très personnel, de son quotidien dans sa ville natale. Dans ses textes, Émilie Landry s’exprime avec sincérité et légèreté sur la complexité des relations humaines.
